There are many, many books on the topic. The list below is selective and leaves a lot of books beside the road. All books listed are 4-1/2 to 5 full star rated by consuming customers.
We passed up a lot of books that seem vague, irresponsible or simple too difficult to understand. One book called for a flower essence to cure a slipped disc. No, it is not among our books for you9 to select from!

ER Vets is a full 5-star rated hardcover book. A behind the scenes look at an animal hospital in Colorado. Great photographs and easy to read material. The book carries good and sad emotional scenes and covers more animals than just dogs.

A big 325 page, 4-1/2 star rated paperback. The book includes a 191 page herb guide for animals as well as explaining how and why herbs work and how to use them. If you are into alternative medicine, this is a valuable resource.
This is a 504 page, 4-1/2 star rated paperback with tons of information. I have used homeopathy on my dogs and for many illnesses, IT WORKS. It’s easy to do once you understand the principles. This book covers everything you need to know about Vet Homeopathy for dogs and cats.

However, the author of this book makes sure all readers understand that often, after extensive research, dog sickness like asthma, allergies, arthritis, etc, can be traced to unnecessary immunization and booster vaccines. This is not only a good book, but a very necessary one!”

This book, a 358 page, 5-star rated paperback, is written by Dr. Martin Goldstein, a 25 year holistic veterinarian. In his book he discusses in detail his experiences with alternative cures for dogs and cats. His holistic expertise is noteworthy.

“8 Weeks” is a 256 page, 4-1/2 star paperback. Dr. Shawn is a holistic vet with his own approach to alternative medicine for dogs.
